The Energy Body

We are all born with an energetic matrix that will provide the blueprint for our physical makeup. As we go through the world, trauma, repressed emotions and unspoken truths can become locked in the body. When something sad happens and we keep ourselves from crying–there are muscles that must tense up to do that.  This tensing in response to trauma or emotional suffocation translates to holding in the physical system. The longer these things stayed locked in the body, the more armoring will occur.  Armoring and blockages in the physical body then further impact the energetic body. The natural energy flows in the body can become blocked or redirected, and as this energetic blueprint shifts in response to the physical blocks, it then starts to perpetuate them.  As the map for the physical body, when the energetic body is out of alignment, the physical body will follow. This is how disease begins to manifest in the system.

It is a delicate relationship of biofeedback between the physical body, the emotional body and the energetic body. If imbalance in one is not addressed, there will ultimately be an imbalance in all. Where there is disharmony there is disease.

In addition, the system can be impacted not only from the outside but from within.  The things we say about ourselves, the internal judgements, beliefs and criticisms all have their own impact and the road to health lies not only within our relationship to our outside world, but also in our relationship to ourselves. The more we can become aware of negative thoughts, patterns and behaviors, the greater opportunity we have to break the cycle of self-sabotage and the more energy we can put into unlocking blocks we have already created rather than creating new ones.

The second step comes in recognizing what is and isn’t yours and how you can release it. Have you ever felt sad without any good reason or felt sick but have nothing to link it to? Instances such as this can often be a sign of having taken on someone else’s energy.

If you start to feel something that is largely out of tune with your overall feelings and environment, it’s possible you are actually experiencing someone else’s feelings.  This can happen for a number of reasons. Persons who are empaths, energetically sensitive or who tend to take on care-taker roles are much more prone to picking up on other’s feelings and energy.  In addition, if your own energetic boundaries are weak, it is easy to be prone to picking up things from other people.
